Yesterday, Johnny and myself decided to take a cycle ride to Croxteth Park, it was a cold day but the sun was shining. I hadnt been outside the door all the previous day and night so for me it was a very enjoyable little outing. We set off and headed out of my close and down to me mams to pass a video tape into me mam "a film about old liverpoolwich john had let me copy then it after me collecting a bill for £20 from mams post we set off down lordens raod and onto princess drive.

My bike is a mountain bike fitted with a device wich tells you your speed, and logs the distance you travel. It was a lovely day apart from the obvious January cold as we headed into mab lane wich passes the place I and Quincy "a German shepherd dog, my friend and companion for 11 and a half years" use to live. Then as we cycled we passed the site were once stood an aldi supermarket wich stood for only about six years then was destroyed by the brainless thugs from cantril farm, I often shopped there when I lived at feltwood walk.

Then we headed past the site of the telvision soap "brookside" and onto conker lane wich is really were cycling comes into its own, because suddenly we were surrounded by lovely country scenery fields and trees, you could easily forget we were in a city. The ride was so enjoyable and a real pleasure with a sense of complete freedom as we headed along a clear long pathway was cars, buses can go.

We eventually reached the house in Croxteth Park, an Edwardian house built in in 1575 and the last building was completed in 1902. The building was gradually extended; each part was built in a way that it blended with the previous part.
The land around the hall was farmland and there were horses and cattle on the land. At one time only Lord Sefton and his guests were allowed on the land. The house belonged to the Molyneux Family, and its very hard to imagine one family living in such a huge house, but they had many servants and staff who tended the needs of the rich family.

We sat for a while looking at the house and eventually continued on our ride eventually arriving home very cold but nethertheless, feeling refreshed although in need of a hot cup of tea.
