A Tale To Read Before Bed
Little Spirit Boy Lost A "TRUE" GHOST STORY GHOSTS; "Do you believe"? I expect most
of us know of a "Ougia board" I most certainly do. Often its used as a party entertainment kick ' but take my advice ' its
far from a party trick or game. Many years ago when I was in my teens "mid 1970,s" it was an obsession with brother friends
and me. My father "now dead" then had a garage for his car'but never used it, my friends and I used it as a den. One night
we waited till dark took some candles and locked ourselves inside the garage. we placed the alphabet in the form of individual
pieces of paper in a circle on an old glass top coffee table' and each placed a finger onto the upside-down wineglass. We
were deadly serious and asked if there was anyone there? A little while later the glass shot across the table with a jolt
to the word "Yes". I can tell you we all jumped with fright! The spirit was that of a little boy, he told us he was in a dark
place and asked us to go to tell his mum he wanted to come home. We all sat in amazement as we all removed our fingers from
the wineglass ' and the dam thing slid across the table back to the centre. We now ' new without any doubt' none of us were
pushing the glass. We each placed our fingers back onto the glass and asked the boy were he use to live. We watched in horror
as the boy spirit gave an address in our own road! Paul "a friend" jumped up from the table in horror when the glass gave
the boys name, Paul knew the boy and recalled his tragic and sad death! We all decided to stop after the boy once more asked
us to go and tell his mum ' we ignored the boy spirits request and begun to disassemble the table. All hell let loose ' the
glass begun spinning around in a circle on its own ' the candles went out which plunged us all into a horrifying blackness
.We left that garage in a frenzy of complete horror ' each of my friends leaving me alone to lock the garage up. As I closed
the door "trembling like a leaf in the wind" the strongest smell of fresh flowers came wafting from inside the garage. It
was the next day ' Paul took us all down to the local church yard ' we all stood in horror combined with sadness, as the inscription
on the stone was that of the boy spirit. We returned with a single flower each' and placed it onto the little boys grave.
For many months after ' the garage smelt of flowers ' and one night "perhaps it was the wind" but the tin doors were pounding
as if someone inside were trying to get out. This story is true. Kev H.
