I have very fond childhood memory's of William Challoner (betterknown to us as the Magic Man) as a child I remember Willie would always show me and my freind's a trick as he would walk his dog (Doddy) and we would always ask him for a trick, the best one I seen was when he placed a box over my mate's head and on sliding back a door on the box my mate's head had gone ! we were all astounded and in ore of his magical abillity's.

He was a great reader of book's and as well as being a children's entertainer he would also carve out his own puppets for his punch & judy show's. I was born In 1959 and Wilie's family I am told moved Into our street In 1940 so he has just always been there, even as I grew to adulthood I relied 100% on willie when I needed a particular spanner or drill bit, he never once failed to have the correct tool for what ever job I needed to do.

I can only celebrate this mans life and look at (not the sad loss) but the joy and fun this great man brought to all that met him.
